Sorry I’ve been so scarce, I have been spending more time on Myspace because it seems to get a little more traffic (from whom, I’m not sure!)

It’s been hectic here…first Phil was planning another trip to Illinois, then he wasn’t, now his trip has been postponed again until late next week, and will be followed by a trip to Chicago and then Miami and then Christmas!  I don’t know how he does it!

Today both of the boys are sickly, luckily it’s just the three of us for Thanksgiving so if we eat late or don’t eat at all, it won’t be the end of the world.  We do have plans to make Alton Brown’s turkey again- it was so good last time!  This weekend we need to do some furniture shopping (still need to get a bed before our houseguests at Christmas) and Christmas decoration shopping (since we don’t have a tree or much decor).  And don’t even get me started on Christmas shopping.  Ugh.

Anyway, hope everyone reading has a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families!

Well, we have quite the comedian on our hands these days.  I have been trying to remember the funny things Simon has said and done over the past few weeks (and quite a few today, in fact) to share.

Let’s see…it started a few weeks ago at church.  The kids (starting at age 3) are brought into the sanctuary for "children’s church" and they sit on the steps in front of the Pastor where he gives a short talk.  Usually, Simon is very quiet and well-behaved.  Last time we went to church, however, this was not the case.  Brother James asked the kids, "Do you know who Jesus is?" and Simon stood up, pointed to himself, and yelled, "ME!"  I was so embarrassed, not that anyone knew he was my kid or anything, but I wanted to crawl under the pew.

Last week we were in Illinois and I guess since I’m starting to show a little bit more, Simon is getting more and more into this pregnancy business.  In fact, he gave me a brief rundown of how things are going to go:  "Mommy, I have a baby sister (sibling intuition?) in my belly (sticking his belly out) and I’m going to get really big.  Then it’s going to come out of my butt with the poop and go in the toilet."  Lovely.

This morning, my shoes and his shoes were laying on the floor (mine kind of on top of his) and he yelled, at my shoes, "Get off my shoes, mommy’s shoes!"

This afternoon when we got home, he was being kind of a stink and I told him so and he literally GROWLED at me and said "NO I’M NOT, I’M SWEET!"

And my new favorite:  We were in our bedroom and he pointed to a picture of Phil and I from our wedding and said "Mommy, you’re a princess.  Daddy’s a Queen."

Never a dull moment.
